Recently Acquired Books and Books Added to Wish List

I bought the following books recently:

Jonathan Safran Foer: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
Matthew Pearl: The Poe Shadow
Marisha Pessl: Special Topics in Calamity Physics
Alexander McCall Smith: The 2 1/2 Pillars of Wisdom
Peter Temple: The Broken Shore
Hunter S Thompson: Hell's Angels

And I added a few more books to my wish list:

Hi Kylie! I'll be interested to know what you make of the Hunter S. Thompson book. His 'Fear and loathing in Las Vegas' was compulsory reding for my genertion and I remember enjoying it hugely -many years ago ;-)The only other thing of his I have read was 'Yhe Rum diaries', much more recently, which I didn't find much cop.

I love 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' as well. I have 'The Rum Diaries' on my shelf as well. As I bought that one first, I think it'll have to be read next. I'll let you know what I think!

I just read The Giver (and posted on it, etc).
